Kimberley Johnson has practised predominantly in strata law since beginning her career as a law graduate in 2020. She was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2021, and as a solicitor in the High Court of Australia in 2023. Prior to joining Bugden Allen, she previously worked at a strata law firm and specialised in strata advisory and dispute resolution work, including strata litigation, management rights disputes, building & construction disputes, as well as general commercial litigation. Kimberley has advised and worked closely with a range of strata clients, including bodies corporate, strata managers, and individual lot owners. She is experienced in acting for clients throughout the dispute resolution process within the Office of the Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management, Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Magistrates Court, District Court, and Supreme Court. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Government and International Relations from Griffith University. She was awarded the New Colombo Plan Scholarship from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to undertake study, language training, and internships for 19 months in Hong Kong and South Korea. She was also awarded the University Medal for her study at Griffith University. Kimberley is an Associate in our Brisbane office.
