Emma Smythies is a real estate lawyer with over 17 years experience specialising in strata and community titles, property development, title structuring, acquisitions, disposals and major leasing.

Emma has advised a range of public and private sector clients including government agencies, property funds, owners corporations, developers, registered clubs, major commercial landlords and financial institutions on all types of commercial and strata/community property matters.

Emma is experienced in acting for developers on the life cycle of a development from acquisition of the development site, due diligence, title structuring and easements, financier due diligence, leasing and off the plan sales.

Emma joined Bugden Allen in mid-2019 as a Special Counsel and was promoted to Partner of our NSW office in 2021.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney and is a member of the Australian College of Strata Lawyers (ASCL).
