Emma Smythies is an experienced real estate lawyer specialising in property development, titling, acquisitions, disposals and major leasing. For over 14 years Emma has specialised in property law, having worked for mid-tier firms including Henry Davis York and Thomson Geer.

Emma has advised a range of public and private sector clients including government agencies, property funds, owners corporations, developers, registered clubs, major commercial landlords and financial institutions on all types of commercial and strata property matters.

Emma is experienced in acting for developers on the life cycle of a development from acquisition of the development site, due diligence, title structuring and easements, financier due diligence, leasing and off the plan sales.

Emma joined Bugden Allen Graham Lawyers in mid-2019 as a Special Counsel and was promoted to Partner of our NSW office in 2021.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney and is a member of the Australian College of Strata Lawyers (ASCL).
